Electrical loads:

The number of electrical loads in motor vehicles has increased dramatically in recent years. The increase in safety requirements (ABS, airbag, ...) and in convenience features in the most varied vehicles (electric windows, sunroof,...) make ever greater demands on the onboard electrical systems and therefore also on the battery.
Cold:
Cold weather has a well-known effect on the starting power of the battery. The colder it is, the more power is required from the battery to start the engine.
Warmth/heat:
Warm weather and high temperatures in the engine compartment, exacerbated by enclosed engines, significantly influence the service life of the battery. While maximum temperatures of 50°C were the norm in the 80s, temperatures of up to 100°C and higher are not unusual today. These high temperatures increase the corrosion of the positive grid, resulting in a reduction in the service life of the battery. It was possible to reduce this corrosion tendency dramatically with the use of Silver technology, allowing the service life of the battery to be significantly increased.
